Katty McMurray
“The consistent, underlying element in my work is my love of drawing. My inspiration
comes from my travels, both here and abroad, where I uses a single line to sketch the
world around me. The bold lines and shapes when combined with my selected muted palette,
create a sense of calm and space within my oils on canvas.
I have discovered screenprint to be a fascinating yet strikingly different medium to make
new work based around my sketchbook studies.”
